MISSION NEPAL 2015 - Closure of the activities

From the 1st to 18th May 2015 the SPRINT-Lab established a Scientific Unit who dealt with the remote processing of the data coming from field surveys in the Kathmandu area, Nepal, after the 25th April Earthquake. The field surveys have been carried out by teams of the Italian National Fire Service with specific training to assess the structural damage of strategic buildings.

MISSION NEPAL 2015 - SCIENTIFIC UNIT

After the 25^th April Earthquake in Nepal, the Italian National Fire Service deployed experts (firefighters with specific technical skills) to Kathmandu in order to assess the structural damage of strategic buildings. In the meanwhile, the SPRINT-Lab team has established a Scientific Unit, and from the 1^st May 2015 it deals with the remote processing of the data coming from field surveys.
