The SPRINT-Lab director, prof. Stefano Grimaz participated as a trainer in the exercise of the European Civil Protection "EU Module Exercise". The purpose of the exercise was to test the capacity of intervention of the European Mechanism for Civil Protection in case of emergencies occurring inside or outside the territory of the European Union.
The exercise took place from 8 to 11 June 2016 in the rubble fields of "Tritolwerk", a former dynamite factory currently military base in Lower Austria.
